Camden Boyle is a composer currently living in Urbana, Illinois. He received a BM (2017) and MM (2019) in composition from the Juilliard School and is currently a Doctoral candidate in composition at the University of Illinois. Boyle has collaborated with poets, filmmakers, photographers, choreographers, and visual artists. In June of 2026, his sinfonietta work “Ideas of Utopia” was performed as part of the June in Buffalo Festival by the Slee Sinfonietta, and in the Summer of 2024, he released the chamber music album “Mirrored Spirits” in which he plays all of the instruments. Currently he is writing a cello concerto to be premiered in Fall, 2026 by the Illinois Modern Ensemble, and workshopping an opera with the Illinois Lyric Theater. He plays and teaches violin, viola, cello, piano, and classical guitar, and has worked as a music theory professor at Illinois Wesleyan University.
